Niche Endoscopic Tooling

While generic snares and biopsy forceps handle the bulk of daily endoscopy volumes, complex procedural success relies heavily on niche instrumentation. Distal attachment caps, originally designed for mucosal resection, are now routinely deployed during complex screening colonoscopies to flatten haustral folds and dramatically improve the Adenoma Detection Rate (ADR) behind blind corners.

Biliary Tooling in ERCP

Within ERCP, the management of choledocholithiasis transitions from simple balloon sweeping to advanced wire-guided lithotripsy baskets. When a stone exceeds the diameter of the biliary sphincterotomy, a mechanical lithotripter basket is deployed to capture the stone and rely on a high-tension cranking mechanism to physically fracture it within the duct prior to extraction.
